Torre del Compte, SPAIN (The UNofficial Site)

Torre del Compte is a Medieval, stone village located on a hill (elev 1630.6 ft) overlooking the Matarraña River flowing through a wide valley. In the 1200s there was a castle in the village, but was destroyed around the 1400s. The village has changed very little since it was established prior to the 1200s, making it one of the most charming villages in the Matarraña region. We are approx. -- 15 min to Valderrobres; 25 min to Alcañiz; 2 hrs to Zaragoza; 3.5 hrs to Barcelona.

About Me

Floyd W. Buhler
Torre del Compte, Teruel, Spain
I am a retired Government worker and now live in Spain. I worked for the U.S. Government for 32 years. My job was working with computers, training the people that used them, solving any problems they had and even held training classes. The last 19 years of my Government career I spent traveling the world to U.S. Embassies, working with and training the people there. I've worked in most of the Embassies in Western Europe, Sub-Sahara Africa, Central America, and South America. It was a stressful, frustrating job -- but I loved every minute of it. Now that I'm retired, I really miss the people I worked with in the various countries. They are a fine bunch of people and an asset to the U.S. Government.
